Plymouth Arts Center is presenting new Art Workshops for children this fall. This project-based class is for children grades one through eighth. There will be two sessions on Saturdays, Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 17, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15. Session 1 is for grades 1-4 and session 2 is for grades 5-8. Sign up for just one Saturday or for all five Saturday sessions. Join local SASD (Sheboygan Area School District) art teacher, Mary Starnitcky, as she helps students create fun, whimsical, and imaginative creations! Supplies are included and students will take home their masterpieces at the end of class! Sign up for your favorite medium, or come to learn something new! Pre-registration is required to have supplies ready. 

Times and price vary per class! The schedule is:

September 15: Art journals—Drawing & Creative Writing—$20
Session 1 (1:00-2:30pm) for grades 1-4 
Session 2 (2:45-4:15pm) for grades 5-8

October 13: Monster Painting—$20
Session 1 (1:00-2:30pm) for grades 1-4
Session 2 (2:45-4:15pm) for grades 5-8

November 17: Clay Jewelry, Creatures, and Beings—$25
Session 1 (1:00-2:30pm) for grades 1-4
Session 2 (2:45-4:15pm) for grades 5-8

December 1: Card Making and Printing—$25
Session 1 (1:00-2:30pm) for grades 1-4
Session 2 (2:45-4:15pm) for grades 5-8

December 15: Snowmen and Ornament Painting —$20
Session 1 (9:00-10:30am) for grades 1-4
Session 2(10:45-12:15pm) for grades 5-8

About the Teacher: Mary Starnitcky has worked as an award-winning artist and educator for the past 30 years. Graduating from UW Stout, and with her master’s from National Louis University, Mary’s work has been on exhibit in Sheboygan and Madison. She also has been involved with many local organizations including Girl Scouts, 4-H and Love Bowls. She believes, “Students have so much to offer in a variety of the arts, they just need a little guiding hand to let it out.”
