Grades 5 to 8 Summer Art Camps in July

Pre-registration is required. An art project-based day camp where each student can explore the process of the art concept selected for each session, to create fun and imaginative masterpieces.

4 Day Camps are $80 ($70 PAC member) per student.

Session A: Drawing & Painting: July 8, 9, 10 ,11. Students will learn a variety of drawing and painting techniques inspired by our natural environment.

Session B: Printing & Mixed Media: July 15, 16, 17, 18. Students will explore a variety of exciting mediums, creating artwork inspired by nature.

Session C: Sculpture & Mixed Media: July 22, 23, 24, 25. A unique focus on sculptural form and space, students will create 3-dimentional art.

*Students should bring their own water bottle and please provide sunscreen if needed. Some classes will have the opportunity to create art in our outside courtyard, weather permitting.

Registration closes one week prior to start of each session for July 2024 Camps. Class will be canceled 7 days prior to the camp if minimum number of students is not met. Please visit our website for more of our class policies.

ABOUT THE TEACHER—Liz Higgins has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Lakeland University and an Art Education and Adaptive Education teaching certifications from Silver Lake College. She was an elementary and high school art teacher in the Sheboygan Area School District prior to becoming the Education Coordinator at the Plymouth Arts Center. Her interests in nature and science have been a prominent theme in her artwork and photography. She plans to share this passion with her students by providing art experiences that are meaningful and beneficial to the understanding of art concepts and enjoyment of the arts.
