SPRING BREAK-- FUSED GLASS CLASS with artist Betty Wilson
Wednesday, March 25th from 1:00-3:00pm, Students 12 years old and up! $36 per student
Fused glass is the process of layering colored glass and then firing it in a kiln to create one piece of glass.
Choose from the projects shown below and create it using the provided glass pieces and frit. You will leave your art with me and I will fire your projects in my kiln at 1200 to 1500 degrees. The firing process takes 6 hours and then must be cooled overnight. Projects will be available for pick up in one week.
No previous experience required.
Please choose to make: 1 Fish Square, 1 Bird Strip, or 2 Floral/Fauna Squares
About our teacher: Betty Wilson
Betty is a retired Digital Illustrator and Author. Now, she enjoys researching new art medias and techniques in her Hobby Farm studio. Betty’s current areas of interest are warm glass, wood carving, broom making, acrylic pour art, mosaics, and yard art of all kind. “I truly enjoy teaching others to relax and enjoy playing with art. I always show project samples to stimulate your creativity. One good idea leads to another!”
